No Dog
Left Behind

Our focus is to save dogs from the kill lists (marked with an “X” Code Red), simply because they’re too old, too Pittie, too behavioral, too medical or too black. We leave no dog behind.

2,241 saved & counting ...

Have you ever walked a row of kennels of dogs slated to be killed and looked into their eyes? Have you ever driven past a dog in a ditch and seen her head hung low? Have you ever opened emails of dogs staring up at you, with “LAST CALL – URGENT! DIES TODAY!”?

We have. We live with the fear of failing every day, all day long. And while this is a crippling fear, it is the driving force behind why we keep going.

rescue process

Our rescue process varies depending on the individual needs of each dog and how they enter our into system: 1. stray, 2. shelter, or 3. owner surrender. Each one is uniquely and financially different from the other and there are many variables that go into any one rescue.

Many dogs need some, or all, of the following and a rescued dog can take anywhere from one day to months before he or she is fully adopted and out of our system.

  • Medical / Veterinary Care
  • Spay or Neuter
  • Boarding
  • Training
  • Foster Expenses
  • Transport
  • Food

“Every moment is critical to a dog with nowhere to turn.”

Sue Perry

We save old dogs, sick dogs, Pit Bulls (the most killed dogs in shelters), Pit mixes, black dogs, discarded and “behavioral” dogs. While our primary and most pressing goal is to rescue those animals with little to no chance of surviving the system, we leave no animal behind.

Last Call for Lisa Ray

Can anyone imagine what it must feel like to be a part of a home, to be a loved family member for 10 years, just to be cruelly dumped at a shelter? Just ask Lisa Ray, a senior pit bull who had to live through that nightmare for 2 months.

Sweet Baby Finley

My mamma was found huddled in a ditch in the Rio Grande Valley. It was freezing, sleeting and raining. Miss N scooped up my mamma and took her home. Five days later, me and my 5 siblings were born. Only I survived. Read more for my journey to a loving home.

Ash

Ash was pulled from Death Row at a high kill shelter in Texas. We weren’t sure we could tag him in time, but somehow the stars lined up, and we did. Because he is an all black, larger dog, his chances of getting out were slim to none.
